POSITION OVERVIEW: As a member of our team, you will work with others who take pride in their duties and strive to serve our customers. This position is responsible for supporting administrative functions within the distribution center. This includes, but is not limited to: invoicing, customer service and order entry. This is a non-exempt position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer service-respond to customer payable and receivable questions
- Invoice coding and month end accruals; create deposit tickets
- Assist drivers with orders for pick up
- Order entry in JDE and MCS
- Use Food Link and I Trade systems to receive, enter ship orders from JDE
- Special projects and miscellaneous assignments as necessary or required for efficient DC operations
- Ensure compliance with Corporate Food Safety guidelines. This includes training and knowledge of GMP and HACCP/Food Safety guidelines and the application of these guidelines in day to day activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant
- High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of business
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent PC skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must
- Adaptable and proactive. Must be able to meet department goals with little direction, able to anticipate and make needed adjustments to schedules, meeting arrangements, travel arrangements, etc...
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure; maintain problem-solving attitude
- Ability to define priorities and to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
