POSITION TITLE: MARKETING DIRECTOR, NORTH AMERICA 
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Marketing Director, North America is a critical, strategic executive-level role responsible for leading all marketing operations across North America (U.S. and Canada) and Latin America, in close partnership with the Global Marketing organization and NA Sales team. Reporting to the Global CMO, this role will shape and accelerate Chiquita’s growth initiatives by amplifying global brand campaigns in NA, developing local consumer activations to complement the marketing plan, executing, and scaling an integrated marketing strategy that drives brand reputation with key Retailers and Wholesalers brand awareness, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market leadership. As a member of the executive leadership team, the Marketing Director will play a pivotal role in defining company-wide growth strategy and building a high-performing, future-ready marketing organization. The NA Marketing director also has a pivotal role in the Global Marketing Lead Team to define/influence global brand strategies and global brand campaigns for a successful amplification in NA. This position is based at Chiquita’s U.S. headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Serve as the strategic owner of brand positioning across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, driving a unified, modern brand narrative aligned with global brand strategy and campaigns while addressing regional market dynamics.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the North America Marketing organization, including defining the long-term vision, strategic roadmap, operating model, and capability-building priorities.
  • Own oversight and management of the marketing department budget, ensuring disciplined prioritization and alignment with Company guidance and business growth objectives.
  • Lead fully integrated marketing capabilities, including:
  • Global Brand Campaign Amplification
  • Trade and Shopper Marketing
  • Media and Digital Marketing.
  • Local social media editorial plan to be harmonized with Global social media editorial plan
  • Experiential Events and Sponsorships
  • Integration of Licensing into the Brand Marketing plan
  • Research and Consumer Insights
  • Drive excellence in go-to-market activation with major retailers across the U.S. and Canada, accelerating household penetration and strengthening strategic retail partnerships.
  • Oversee U.S. Category Management and Analytics, leveraging Circana, retailer data, and proprietary insights to identify growth drivers, category fundamentals, and evolving consumer behaviors across markets.
  • Translate data and analytics into actionable commercial recommendations that inform and influence retailer strategies and priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Legal, and European Marketing to ensure alignment, operational integration, and disciplined execution.
  • Lead Global Institutional Communications for Chiquita, including:
    • Corporate positioning
    • Crisis and reputation management
    • Global content and public relations strategy
    • Internal communications and employer branding
    • Corporate CRM and stakeholder engagement
    • Strengthen Chiquita’s voice and reputation across corporate, , industry, and global ESG platforms.
 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of executive marketing leadership experience, preferably within food, agriculture, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth.
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, and global/institutional communications.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with demonstrated analytical and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Foundational understanding and experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support the adoption of state‑of‑the‑art technologies is highly preferred
  • Ability to define and manage clear marketing KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting to measure ROI and effectiveness.
  • Experience leading marketing initiatives within a high-growth, B2B2C environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead multifunctional marketing teams.
  • Strong partnership experience with Sales leadership, including ownership of revenue-related metrics.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including domestic and occasional international travel.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONEMENT:

  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
