POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director of Logistics – USA Ports & Transportation, the Logistics Operations Analyst will support the success of the business by analyzing, improving, and redesigning processes. Achieving the company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) requires a high level of data analytics proficiency and data integrity. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and project management skills, and must be able to identify and recommend improvements. This position requires regular visits to Chiquita’s five U.S. ports to understand operations and implement necessary controls and procedures aligned with company objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement process improvements across Chiquita’s five North American ports.
- Educate internal stakeholders on system usage and operational best practices.
- Monitor inventory flow across multiple systems and platforms.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support organizational knowledge retention.
- Gather information from all relevant sources to inform decision-making.
- Analyze and organize data to provide operational visibility.
- Serve as functional user of intercompany systems and programs, including Chiquita’s proprietary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Microsoft Excel, for process and data management.
- Manage relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Evaluate information and solve problems to determine optimal solutions.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work effectively.
- Meet deadlines and perform well in a fast-paced environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, including port and terminal operations, transportation, cold storage, systems implementation, and budget management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Port Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering – or equivalent applicable experience required.
- Six Sigma and/or Lean certifications/trainings are a plus

- Willingness and ability to travel and work at U.S. port locations 50%-75% of the time

- Familiarity with Chiquita’s operations, information systems, and planning processes
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Candidate may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- Candidate may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
